Wilson's exploits, which included 353 and 368 singles and five head-to-head victories, improved his season average to a league-best 251. The Wilson-led team earned 20.5 points and continues to hold down the fourth and final playoff spot at the mid-way point of the regular season.
Meanwhile, the Carman-based trio of Ron Scherr, Ian Sylvester and Fern Kerr strengthened its grip on first place with a solid 25.5-point performance. Captain Scherr went 5-and-2 and averaged 251 on Sunday while Sylvester chipped in with four wins and a tie. Through 20 games, Team Scherr has 69 points and a comfortable 15-point lead on Minnedosa's Dave Mansell, Tracy Swift and Phil Syntak. Carman's Randy McFarlane, along with partners Mike Clarke and Steve Derksen, is just one point back of the Mansell squad at 53 with Wilson and company at 48. Rounding out the standings are Team Clisby (42 points) and Team Rae (34 points).
