Tracy Swift tore apart the Major League 5 Pin record book and led her team back into contention Sunday on her home lanes in Minnedosa. The 2004 ML5 MVP fired an impressive 410 in her second game and followed it up with a 308 to set new league benchmarks for High Single and High Triple (961). Swift also cracked the 300 mark (314) in her last contest of the day for a seven-game total of 1890. More importantly, Swift and teammates Dave Mansell and Phil Syntak earned 27 points to move from fifth to second place in the six-team match play circuit.

The Carman-based Ron Scherr squad remains in top spot through 13 games. Scherr, along with partners Ian Sylvester, Fern Kerr and John Stedman, is 5.5 points clear of Swift and company with a two-week total of 43.5. Carman's Randy McFarlane, Mike Clarke and Steve Derksen sit in third place (33 points) while the team of Ken Wilson, Christy Wilson and Dean Owen (also from Carman) holds down the fourth and final playoff spot (27.5 points).
